A scenic and relaxed hike to the summit of Sierra Gibralmora, offering beautiful views and a touch of local history.
Join us for a leisurely hike to the 447-meter-high summit of Sierra Gibralmora, following a scenic nature trail full of fascinating sights. Along the way, you’ll encounter impressive stone carvings and other hidden surprises that make the journey just as rewarding as the destination. At the top, we’ll admire the famous El Santo statue and take in breathtaking views over Pizarra and the whole Guadalhorce Valley. We’ll also pause for a well-earned snack break, so be sure to bring some light refreshments along with your water bottle. The total hike is approximately 7 km, with an ascent of about 350 meters. The trail is mostly easy to walk, though some sections include rocky terrain and steeper inclines. A reasonable level of fitness and some hiking experience will help you enjoy the adventure to the fullest.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The total route is about 7 kilometres long, with an elevation gain of approximately 350 metres. The trail is fairly easy to follow but includes a few steeper sections, loose gravel, and some steps, so a good basic fitness level and sturdy footwear (preferably hiking shoes) are recommended. It’s also a good idea to bring a bottle of water. This walk is not recommended for young children due to the distance and the trail’s occasional challenging sections.
