Torremolinos and Benalmádena Puerto

A famous coastal walk, local flavours and stories from history – this is a stroll where the past and present of the Costa del Sol meet.

A relaxed coastal walk from Torremolinos to Benalmádena’s marina combines the lively beach life of today with the fascinating stories from the early days of tourism on the Costa del Sol. We begin our journey with a short train ride from Fuengirola to Torremolinos. At the start of the walk, we descend the steps down to the beach and continue along the shoreline towards Benalmádena’s charming Puerto Marina. Along the way, we share stories from the area’s history and how a small fishing village grew into one of Spain’s most famous beach destinations. You can enjoy the atmosphere of La Carihuela beach and see its countless seaside restaurants, cafés and little boutiques. We’ll also stop for coffee or a refreshing drink while taking in the beautiful sea views.

At Benalmádena’s marina, we’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant loved by Spaniards before returning together by bus to Fuengirola – richer in new flavours and stories.
